Building Boba Chummy From Abuja
What this city taught us about building something people could call their own.

Boba Chummy could only have started here. Abuja gave us room to experiment, get things wrong, change them, try again and watch a community slowly form around what we were building.
Built with the city
People came for boba. Then they stayed for the games. The ramen. The random conversations. The late evenings. The people they kept running into. That taught us something important: You can design a store. You can't manufacture a community.
Abuja didn't just give Boba Chummy its first home. It gave the brand its character.
We're still building from Abuja. We're just starting to think a little further from home.
